This project consisted of the transformation of a narrow “railroad” loft in TriBeCa. In this type of loft, natural light and air are limited, entering the space only at the ends of an elongated rectangular plan. The limitations call for architectural solutions that enhance natural ventilation and maximize the potential of the available natural light. The plan utilized an amorphic-shaped pod partition system, theatrical, translucent and fully operable for ventilation.  The elements are conducted of lightweight materials, and appear furniture-like in their detailing and material use.
