Our extensive historic preservation experience includes work on some of the most magnificent buildings of New York City. The practice was the recipient of the Municipal Arts Society Master of Preservation Award in 2015 for our work on the Montauk Club on Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn (Architect Francis Hatch Kimball,1891). We are currently engaged in the restoration of the National Arts Club on Gramercy Park (facade designed by Architect Calvert Vaux in 1881). And our office led a team that wrote the 2010 Preservation Master Plan for the national historic landmark Foundation Building at The Cooper Union (Architect Frederick Peterson 1853). In addition to these well known masterpieces BLA has worked on numerous landmarks of all types, ages and construction characteristics. Get in touch for more information.
